 KittyCheck3  Diet Imbalance Monitor

KittyCheck3  Diet Imbalance Monitor is designed to signal you when your cat's urine has high acidity by changing color from yellow to pink-red.

Scientifically balanced acidifying diets produce mildly acidic urine in cats.
Strong acidifying diets and excess of vitamin C may produce high acidity in urine.
High acidity in urine may be an indicator of dietary imbalance in your cat and can promote the formation of calcium oxalate stones in your cat's urinary system.

A decade ago, almost all urinary stones were triple phosphates (struvites).  Unfortunately with long-term strong acidifying diets, high doses of vitamin C, and magnesium restriction, cats are 40% more predisposed to calcium oxalate stones.  Calcium oxalate stones cannot be dissolved with the prescribed diet, but they can be removed surgically if they create a problem.

As with any proactive testing, KittyCheck3  Diet Imbalance Monitor should be repeated as often as possible.

KittyCheck3  Diet Imbalance Monitor is part of KittyCheck Maintenance Kit.
